‘Srilanka Heritage’ is a complete itinerary to discover the best of Sri Lanka, visiting not only its historical sites but also enjoying village visits as well as the famous Yala National Park.
Day 01
Arrival in Colombo on the night of day 1 or in the early hours of day 2. Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 02
Half-day visits and experiences in Colombo. Colombo 7 area, Parliament building, free time in the shopping area. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 03
Travel to Sigiriya visiting the Buddhist caves of Dambulla along the way. Arrival in Sigiriya and transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 04
Visits and experiences in the historic city of Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, and visit to the village of Habarana, including a ride on an ox cart. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 05
Visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and travel to Kandy. Arrival in Kandy and enjoy some activities like a tour around the lake area and attending a drum dance show. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 06
Visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy and travel to Nuwara Eliya. Visit a tea plantation and factory of the famous Sri Lankan tea. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 07
Ride on the iconic train up to Ella and continue to Tangalle. Arrival in Tangalle and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Tangalle.
Day 08
Excursion to the famous Yala National Park to see leopards and other animals. Return to Tangalle. Overnight in Tangalle or, depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Colombo airport to catch your return or onward flight departing on the night of day 8 or the morning of day 9.
